Our mission
We seek to provide effective educational resources to young students who face financial hardship in the United States, Syria, and hopefully soon all around the world.
The start
The idea of Better Future as an educational initiative came to life in September 2020, it took us about a year to build our fundamental concepts, and obtain the approval to be a 501(C)(3) non for profit registered organization.
At the end of 2021, we collect donations from friends and family members, who shared with us the appreciation of the value of education to build a better future.
In 2022 we saw how the seed of Better Future grew into a small fruitful organization and started helping unfortunate students to achieve better education.
In March 2023, we were able to launch our website, hoping to reach more people all over the world.
Summary of 2023!!
- 2023 was a challenging and productive year for better future, started with a good fund from the 2023 new year party since attendees agreed to donate the extra Money to support better future educational efforts.
- Then the devastating Earthquake hit Middle East in February 2023 and caused almost 60 thousand death, motivated us to start working on our website trying to connect people, and we were able to help few families.
- We have continued our English lessons program and went from one teacher and 3 students in 2022 to 3 teachers and 9 students in 2023 with continuous free weekly lessons 1/1 teacher/student ratio.
- Better future supported limited income college student who couldn’t afford the cost of his college education, and gave laptop to other college student that can’t afford the cost of highly needed laptop.
- We helped a talented foster student to cover the cost of educational trip from St Louis to New York to pursue his passion in Music and drama.
- Better future received multiple new requests to help other students in need to improve their education, and we are trying to raise enough funds to help those students.
- The need to support limited income students is humungous, but unfortunately our budget doesn’t allow further expansion at this time, since we believe that education is the best way to decrease the gap between the rich educated elite and the struggling limited income families, we welcome donations to be able to support more limited resources students, contact us and we will send your donation to the student that you feel is the most qualified for your help.
Plans For The Year 2024
- Develop our private lessons project to include more students, our goal is to go from 14 students in 2023 to 30 students by the summer of 2024.
- Provide more advanced technology to low-income students, we provided 2 laptops to low-income families in 2023, our goal is to provide 3 laptops to low-income families in 2024.
- Continue building our team of experts, volunteers, board of directors, and advisory board.
- Create fundraising productive opportunities.
